CCF Range Day
Twenty cadets made for Pirbright Ranges on Sunday for the last range day of the year before summer camps. A demanding shoot offered the cadets the chance to fire at 100m in the prone, kneeling and sitting position, and standing in a fire-trench.
Although for many it was their first time firing at such a distance, the cadets acquitted themselves admirably: most achieved 鈥楾rained Shot鈥, with LCpl Popov, Cdt Crutchfield and Cdt Sherry earning themselves 鈥楳arksman鈥 classifications. Sgt Mulcaire was the day鈥檚 best shot with a terrific score of 41/45.
The day finished with a competition which pitted cadets against adult representatives of the Sergeants鈥 and Officers鈥 Messes. Suffice it to say that the results will not be published.
