Philosophy Competition Successes
Amali in the Lower Sixth Form recently entered the University of Sheffield Philosophy Essay Competition.聽 She submitted her response to the title, 鈥業s religion important for a good life?鈥 and we were delighted to find out that she was one of the winners! This is a fantastic achievement and she has now been invited to an online workshop following her success.聽 In addition, she achieved highly commended in Northeastern University London鈥檚 Philosophy essay competition, and for the Minds Underground鈥檚 English Literature essay competition. Well done Amali!
Millie in the Fourth Year also entered the Minds Underground™ competition, which saw over 2000 students enter from across the globe including those from Thailand, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, USA, Italy.聽 Despite only being in the Fourth Year, with most applicants coming from the Sixth Form, Millie achieved Highly Commended for her response in the Philosophy Category.聽 Millie鈥檚 title was certainly a topical one, as she responded to the following statement, 鈥業t may be bad taste to commit genocide in a computer game, but it is no more wrong than it would be right to alleviate world poverty in a computer game.鈥櫬 Congratulations!
